Breachers - Anthony Thomas
Breachers is a sci-fi novel by Anthony Thomas that’s full of
action from start to finish.
Jason Conners has the ability to breach – he can reset an
event that kills him to moments before, giving him the chance to alter the
result. His skill, combined with ego and a fearless attitude, make him an
unquestionable threat.
Although Jason learned of his special ability at a young
age, it’s not until he joins the Rogues that he starts to discover the full
potential and origin of his gift.
Thomas gives Jason a respectable amount of wit that makes
him a really lovable character even while he’s participating in not-so-lovable
acts. Sometimes I felt like shaking my head for what Jason was doing, but I was
also laughing right along with him. Throughout the book, we get peeks into his
past and start to feel sympathetic for him. We even get to a see a softer side
of him when he meets Marie!
Descriptive language by Thomas gives us clear images –
sometimes even smells and tastes – of exactly what Jason is experiencing.
Breachers is a great book that keeps you engaged from
beginning to end. You’ll find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat waiting
to see what Jason will do next.
