Order of the Void by Robert Vaughn is a fantastic thriller novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat from front to back!

When Jeffery Bailey shows up at his best friend Bret’s funeral, the last thing he expects to leave with is a box full of items that send him on a wild goose chase. When he learns the things his friend left behind are linked to a cult – and the ones responsible for killing Bret – he sets out to avenge his friend’s death. Working as a vlogger with a large number of followers makes it easy for Jeffery to get the word out about The Void and recruit help as he embarks on his mission. His videos even gain the attention of two government agents that agree to help him. But will they be able to stop the cult before it’s too late?

Vaughn makes Jeffery’s mission anything but easy. Even when he seems to have everything under control and working in his favor, unexpected mishaps arise and set him back. I tried to predict what would happen next and what challenges would lie ahead for Jeffery but found myself surprised each time.

Jeffery is a fighter, a risk taker, and a loyal friend who will stop at nothing to see that his friend gets justice. He’s likeable, quick witted and carried the story along at a good pace.

This is the first book I’ve read by Vaughn but am excited to see what comes next!
